Eva Taylor was born in Germany and teaches German in Italy.

Her collection of poems Im Wundertal was published in 2025 as part of the Lyrikedition Hannover series from Wehrhahn Publishing.

Her latest volume of poetry in Italian, La volpe dentro, (MC Edizioni) dates back to 2023. In 2019, her volume Lezioni di casa was awarded the Arcipelago Itaca prize for an unpublished collection of verses (not a debut work) and was subsequently published; this collection went on to win “Ponte di Legno”. In 2015, she published the novel Carta da zucchero  (Fernandel), with which she won the InediTo – Colline di Torino prize in 2014. The year 2010 had seen the publication of two of her poetry collections, one in German, Gartenarbeit (San Marco Handpresse), and one in Italian, Volti di parole  (Edizioni l’Obliquo). Her first collection of poems in German, Schneebuch, was published by Eric van der Wal Art Editions, and goes back to 2008. Her first volume in Italian, L’igiene della bocca (Edizioni l’Obliquo), came out in 2006.

In addition to her work as a writer, she is also a translator of autobiographical prose by the German writer and painter Unica Zürn (for Edizioni l’Obliquo), as well as of poetry, having translated selections from the works of Elisa Biagini and Anna Maria Carpi from the original Italian into German.

She is a member of the  Compagnia delle poete. (Company of Women Poets).
